England has kicked off their five-game T20I series against New Zealand with a match in Christchurch. For this 20-over cricketing action, England decided to rest few key players while giving new and budding cricketers a chance to prove themselves.
Recently, skipper Eoin Morgan spoke about the upcoming T20 World Cup set to be staged in Australia next year. For the forthcoming mega-event, the swashbuckling batsman wants his team to be in its best shape for building up on the 2019 ODI World Cup victory.
The 33-year old while discussing his new side said that he is open to test the new resources, otherwise there was no point in picking them. Moreover, he will decide his future after the conclusion of the next year’s highly celebrated T20 competition.
“We’ll definitely want a team which is good enough to win. However, we need to test all of our resources. There’s no use of selecting them if they aren’t going to get included in the playing eleven. Our focus is on building the best team for the T20 World Cup,” said by Dublin born ahead of the T20I series against Kiwis.
