Meet Aziz Khan ‘Tangay Wala’ – the savior of Shoaib Akhtar

Exploring the career of the former Pakistan paceman Shoaib Akhtar, one always ends up extracting lessons regarding a strong attitude coupled with resilience. The speedster defied many troubles to make a huge name in the International cricket and went on to play over 200 International games for Pakistan.

Recently, the Rawalpindi born appeared on a famous show ‘Rewind with Samina Peerzada’ where he looked back at the hard days of his career. Shoaib revealed the story of Aziz Khan who drove a horse cart in Lahore. Aziz was the one who let Shoaib sleep in his cart and also fed him when he had no place to stay.

When Shoaib became a major star, he returned to meet Aziz Khan who was baffled to see him coming back. Once again Shoaib had a heavy dinner with Aziz and, reliving the past, he slept in his cart at night. The cricketer turned expert added that Aziz passed away after 2 years of that meeting, but he is still alive in his heart. Reading this inspiring story, one could say that not all heroes wear capes, some just happen to drive a horse cart.
