New Zealand’s captain Kane Williamson’s bowling action has been declared legal following a bowling Test at Loughborough on 11th October. Kane’s bowling action was reported during the Galle Test match earlier this year. He bowled 3 overs in that match and conceded 9 runs.
This is not the first time his bowling action went under assessment. He was reported back in 2014 but was cleared to bowl after some time. Williamson bowled some off-spin against Pakistan and also got the wicket of Mohammad Hafeez in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 game.
Kane is currently sidelined from the T20I series against England courtesy a hip injury. Williamson will return to the side after a little rehabilitation process. Talking about his bowling stats, Williamson has taken 72 wickets across 3 formats.
