Australia clinched the victory in the 3rd T20I against Sri Lanka courtesy exceptional performances from the bowlers and the Australian top-order. Pat Cummins was the star of the show for Australia with the ball as the home team white-washed the Lankan lions.
Cummins picked up 2 wickets but the highlight of his spell was his economical bowling. The right-arm fast bowler gave away only 23 runs in his 4-over spell. He bowled well through-out the T20I series and picked up 6 wickets.
Cummins’ good form is a good sign for Australia going into the T20I series against Pakistan. The 26-year old fast bowler has not played a lot of T20I cricket for Australia in the recent past. He has proved himself that he is also the best suited for the shortest format of the game. In 23 T20I games, Cummins has picked up 31 wickets at an average of 19.67.
