England’s World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan talks about his decision of remaining the captain. Morgan led England to the maiden world cup title in 2019. His leadership has been exceptional for England in the recent past. England’s dominance in the limited-overs owes to his captaincy skills.
After the victory against New Zealand in the 1st T20I at Christchurch, Morgan said, “I am very comfortable with the decision I made. I am delighted that I have made it because I feel it is the right one for myself and my team”.
Morgan is delighted to carry on as England’s white-ball captain and decided not to put any time frame on his captaincy stint. With the ICC T20 World Cup less than a year away, it is an ideal time for England to build on their World Cup momentum and shape up for another glory title in Australia next year.
