Australia’s fast bowler Mitchell Starc bowled splendidly well against Pakistan in the opening T20I game at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The left-arm fast bowler started off well with the wicket of Fakhar Zaman who was caught at the point by Steve Smith.
Despite brilliance from Babar Azam, Australia fought back well after the rain delay in Pakistan’s innings. Starc completed his 3-over spell with the figures of 2-22. His pace was up to the mark and was steaming in.
Australia started off well in their innings with some momentum behind them. The openers David Warner and Aaron Finch pounced on Pakistan’s opening bowlers and got Australia off to a flyer. The rain started to pour down after 3.1 overs of Australia’s innings and the match ended in no result after the time ran out. Australia was in a strong position courtesy Starc’s spell and Finch’s blitz but the rain acted as a blessing in disguise for Pakistan.
