Kiwis fight back in the 2nd T20I

After losing the 1st T20I against England at home, Kiwis fought back hard in the next game to square the series 1-1. In the all-important clash at Wellington, New Zealand batted first and scored 176-8 in their 20 overs. Martin Guptill (41) and Jimmy Neesham (42) were the top scorers for the hosts.

In reply, England could only manage to score 155. Dawid Malan (39) and Eoin Morgan (32) were some notable performers for England.

Chris Jordan also chipped in with a 19-ball 36 but in the end it wasn’t enough for him to take England over the line. Mitchell Santner starred with the bowl for New Zealand as he took 3 wickets in his 4 overs for just 25 runs.

Tim Southee also took 2 wickets and conceded only 25 runs in his 4 overs quota and played a significant role in Kiwis’ victory.
