Dean Jones calls pink-ball cricket future of the game

After many other teams, India finally decided to participate in a day-night Test match game, which would be a part of the forthcoming Test series against Bangladesh. It would be the historic ground of Eden Gardens, Kolkata which is set to witness India playing the pink-ball cricket.

Former Australian batsman Dean Jones welcomed the decision of India opting to be a part of the day-night Test match as he believes that the pink-ball cricket is the future of the game. The cricketer turned coach highlighted the increase in audience when it comes to watching a day-night game in Australia and predicted India to experience something similar.

Dean Jones realizes that people have busy lives so it becomes hard to spend the day time at stadium. Hence, it allows spectators an opportunity to attend the purest form of the game at night. Moreover, he reviewed the issue of dew in India as he advised the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to just change the ball when it gets wet, so the game can keep going being fair to both the sides.
