Pakistan found themselves extremely lucky in Sydney as their losing streak in T20I cricket have was stopped with rain. In the first of the three-game T20I series, Pakistan batted first and scored 107 runs in 15 overs after being invited to bat first. In reply, Australia looked on course to win the game before rain spoiled the fun for them.
The road ahead isn’t going to be easy as after the T20I series, Pakistan is all set to lock horns against Australia for a two-game Test series, embarking their journey in the ICC World Test Championship.
Reviewing the forthcoming Test series, former Australian wicket-keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist was found ringing alarm bells for the green team. The 47-year old said that Pakistan, with a young side, will have to bring their best game forward to challenge Australia down under.
Moreover, he highlighted the fact that the red-ball series is going to commence with a game at The Gabba, which is considered as the fortress of Australia. Hence, the New South Wales born added that Pakistan will have to dictate the terms right from the start to make an impact in the Test series.
