Popular Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars have launched their latest ‘Battle of Qalandars’ initiative to much fanfare. The lucrative PSL team has divided the metropolitan city of Lahore into several different community-based clubs giving youngsters the chance to showcase their skills.
This innovative tournament has also got the attention of PSL rivals Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen, who praised the Qalandars management for taking a great step for unearthing young talent in the country.
Tareen also revealed his loyalties for the ‘Battle of Qalandars’ by siding with the Model Town Panthers considering he lives in the locality. Tareen heaped further praise on Qalandars for consistently holding Player Development Programs but asked them to focus their efforts on women’s cricket in Pakistan.
