Ever since his debut, Pakistani batting star Babar Azam has grown from strength to strength. Recording a continuous improvement in his numbers across all the three formats of the game, the run machine has refused to look back. Even the captaincy position hasn’t dented his confidence as Babar recorded 2 half-centuries in his first 2 games as the T20I skipper.
However, the Lahore born looked a lone warrior against Australia as the mindless batting from the other end didn’t help Pakistan’s chances. All this was recently reviewed by former Pakistan paceman Shoaib Akhtar who was found feeling sad for Babar Azam. The cricketer turned expert said that it is painful to see Babar giving his all while not getting the needed support from the other end.
Relishing Babar’s command to play both pace and spin well, the Rawalpindi born urged other batters to learn from him, as he backed Pakistan to come back hard and win the last T20I game. It remains to be seen how the boys in green fare in Perth which is expected to dish out a fast and bouncy wicket.
