Roston Chase’s 94 helps West Indies to an easy win

The Caribbean stars took on Afghanistan in the First ODI game at Lucknow. Afghanistan, after being put into bat by the West Indies, managed to score only 194 runs. The Windies seam bowlers bowled exceptionally well and restricted the opposition to a very modest total. Jason Holder was the star with the ball in hand as he took 2-21 in his 10 overs spell.

Rahmat Shah was the top-scorer from Afghanistan’s side with 61 runs. In reply, West Indies chased the target comprehensively courtesy a remarkable 94 from Roston Chase. The right-handed batsman’s knock included 11 boundaries and it came off 115 balls. Unfortunately, he fell 6 runs short of his century as Mujeeb Ur Rahman got him out bowled.

Chase was named man of the match for his exceptional batting. West Indies took a lead of 1-0 in the 3-match ODI series. Following the ODI series, the two teams will contest in 3 T20Is and one Test match.
