Senior explosive batsman Imran Nazir was in the midst of cricket action as he captained his team Gulberg Nawabs to victory in the Battle of Qalandars 2019 final. The tournament organized in the 10-over format, saw different regions in Lahore get their own team with the star batsman leading the Gulberg-based side.
Taking to Twitter to express his happiness over achieving the title, the 37-year-old congratulated the team management and staff and showered praise on the Lahore Qalandars owners for conducting such a successful competition.
Imran, who played 25 T20Is for Pakistan, played a crucial knock of 21 from 14 deliveries to get his team over the line in the final against Bhatti Bahadurs. The eventual runners-up had posted 77-7 in their allotted 10 overs before Gulberg Nawabs finished the chase in the ninth over.
