The upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup 2020 is still approximately a year away, but it is hard to take your mind off as the competition promises to be a thrilling affair. Moreover, cricket pundits are devoting a lot of time in trying to analyze all the participating teams while predicting the semi-finalists of the competition.
Former Australian wicket-keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist recently became a part of this club as he shared his semi-finalists for the upcoming T20 extravaganza in Australia. The 47-year old went on to pick India, England, Australia and New Zealand as the final-four teams of the tournament.
Explaining his picks, Gilchrist added that the aforementioned units are brilliant when it comes to playing under pressure and hence he went with them. Interestingly, he dropped the top-ranked Pakistan team from his list as he highlighted the ‘unpredictability’ element while taking a safe route. It would be interesting to see if Pakistan can make it to the semis and prove the 47-year old wrong. However, they will have to bring their best game forward for that to happen.
