The green shirts suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Kangaroos in the 3rd and final T20I of the series at Perth. Aussies were leading the series 1-0 and the fans back home in Pakistan were expecting their team to compete strongly in the final match of the series.
However, Babar Azam’s eleven failed badly with the bat and could only manage to score 106 runs in the last match of the series.
While reflecting on the series defeat, Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam added that he’s still learning the art of captaincy and he’s absolutely gutted with the result of the series.
"I am still learning from my mistakes and aim to not repeat those errors. A bad patch is part of the game and we are backing the players with full confidence so they can perform more consistently," he told reporters in Perth.
Aaron Finch and David Warner went all guns blazing against Pakistan in the final T20I and chased the target of 106 with 10 wickets in hand.
