India’s middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer showed his class as India won the T20I series against Bangladesh. The right-handed batsman came out to bat when India was struggling at 35 for 2. He along with KL Rahul piled up a formidable partnership and led India to a good fighting total.
Iyer scored a classical 62 off 33 balls which included 3 fours and 5 maximums. This was Iyer’s maiden half-century which came after his 10 T20I games for India. Iyer was occupying a key position in the Indian batting line-up in this series as Virat Kohli was not the part of the Indian squad.
Shreyas Iyer, who plays for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League, has the ability to make his name among some top cricketers from India. The Indian management will keep him in the plans for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in 2020.
