Mitchell Santner’s spin quality has caused turbulence for many batsmen in the recent past. He has spun his side to victory on a number of occasions in the ongoing year. The left-arm spinner was New Zealand’s go-to bowler in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
Santner has also taken the most number of wickets in T20I in 2019 among all the bowlers from the full member teams. He is having a prolific year with the ball in hand and with less than one year left in the ICC T20 World Cup, he has become a trump card for the black caps.
He bowled pretty well in the T20I series against England as well and took 9 wickets in the 5-match series. He also curtailed the onslaught from England in the final T20I at Auckland, where the boundaries were pretty short, with a double blow.
