It was a bright and sunny morning at the National Stadium Karachi when Fawad Alam once again found himself in the middle of a crucial situation during Sindh’s Quaid-e-Azam Trophy clash against Northern. Northern had scored 408 with the help of a double hundred by Faizan Riaz.
In reply, Sindh lost wickets at regular intervals and Fawad Alam was at the crease even before Sindh reached 200. The left-handed batsman continued his unorthodox style of play and smacked 9 boundaries to reach another half-century.
Fawad Alam formed a match-saving partnership with Anwar Ali and they closed the day’s play with 247-5 on the board. Fawad Alam was at 75* and Anwar at 41*.
Fawad Alam is continuing his great domestic for and now it’s only up to the selectors to decide his future. He has added valuable 32 runs to his overnight score of 75* and he was out caught on 107. Sindh reached 326 in their first innings.
