After many other teams, India is finally set to join the bandwagon of the day-night Test cricket. Their first such experience would be against Bangladesh at the iconic stadium of Eden Gardens where the second game of the forthcoming two-match Test series will take place.
For this new challenge, Indian batters Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane are sitting really excited. In a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Twitter, the Test stalwarts were found discussing the upcoming day-night Test encounter against the Tigers.
Pujara said that the idea thrills him as he already participated in Duleep Trophy game which was played with the pink ball, so he is eager to get the same flavor in the International cricket.
On the other hand, Rahane believes that adjusting to the conditions shouldn’t be a problem for his side as they are filled with immensely skilled individuals. Moreover, the 31-year old urged the men in blue to play the ball late as the pink balls are known to swing late. It would be interesting to see who comes out on top in the Eden Gardens.
