Deepak Chahar made the headlines with his exquisite bowling heroics in the final T20I of the three-match series against Bangladesh where he returned astonishing figures of 6/7 – the best ever in T20I cricket. Chahar’s mesmerizing spell also included a hat-trick as he dismissed the last three Bangladeshi batsmen on successive deliveries.
Days after his profound brilliance, the 27-year-old was back in the thick of it as he registered dazzling figures of 4/18 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy between Vidarbha and Rajasthan.
The right-armer took four wickets in the final over of the Vidarbha innings to restrict the opposition to 99/9 in the 13-over contest.
Three of the four wickets to fall in the last over, came off consecutive legal deliveries as there was a wide ball in between the procession of wickets. Chahar’s stupendous bowling of late is a great sign for Indian cricket as they seem to have found another quality pacer.
