Pakistan’s opening batsman Shan Masood talked about his preparations ahead of the Test series against Australia. After a good outing in the Test series against South Africa in 2018, Masood feels that he can continue his good form in the upcoming series. Masood highlighted the fact that he learned a lot from Steve Smith while watching him bat during the Ashes.
“I reckon he’s (Smith) one of the greatest players to play this game,” Masood says. “I don’t usually watch cricket on the T.V, but I followed the whole Ashes 2019 just to watch Steve Smith bat. I almost watched each and every single ball played by him.”, he added.
Talking about how to counter Smith, he said, “There is an opportunity for our bowling attack; if we manage to get him Steve Smith out cheaply our confidence will go sky high.” Shan has represented Pakistan in 15 Test matches in which he has scored 793 runs at an average of 26.43.
