Pakistan’s teenage pace sensation Naseem Shah came out all guns blazing on the final day of the three-day tour game against Australia A in Perth.
Although the 16-year-old could take only a single wicket during his breathtaking spell of fast bowling, he showed a lot of promise by producing prodigious seam movement and zip in the air.
Just two days after the tragic demise of his mother, Naseem showed a lot of character by taking the field and darting in terrific deliveries at scorching speeds. He even rattled Usman Khawaja with some red-hot bouncers while frequently beating the bat of Marcus Harris.
Naseem finally dismissed Harris off a sizzling ball that lifted off the docile pitch to take his outside edge. He could have gotten the wicket of the opener sooner had Haris Sohail clung onto the chance in the first slip. Naseem’s brilliant spell has sounded alarm bells for the hosts, who will be wary of negotiating his express pace.
