The list of overseas cricketers in the Diamond category for the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been released to much fanfare. With next year’s PSL scheduled to be held in Pakistan, it is heartening to witness so many players from different nations around the world ready to play an important part in welcoming international cricket back in the country beset by security concerns.
Dawid Malan, Luke Ronchi, Tamim Iqbal, Darren Sammy and Kyle Abbott headline the Diamond category players that includes a total of 59 foreign stars. England have the highest representation in the distinguished list with 19 cricketers followed by West Indies (12) and South Africa (11).
Some of the players named already have PSL experience while most of the cricketers will get a chance to register their maiden stint in the glitzy competition.
