Pakistan Test opener Sami Aslam is currently enjoying a dream run in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Sami was dropped from the Test side after Pakistan’s series loss against Sri Lanka in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2016.
Before that series, Sami had impressed everyone with this outstanding performance on England tour. However, the left-handed batsman went back to domestic cricket and piled up heaps of runs across all the formats.
He’s currently the leading run-getter in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and he is making his case very strong for national selection. Aslam started his Quaid-e-Azam Trophy campaign with a double ton and he has already scored 800+ runs in this tournament.
