England’s World Cup-winning skipper Eoin Morgan is currently captaining Delhi Bulls in the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10. Continuing his blazing form in limited-overs cricket, Morgan conjured a masterful knock to take Delhi Bulls over the line in their opening game of the tournament against Deccan Gladiators.
Morgan struck an emphatic 52 not out from 27 deliveries and was involved in a match-winning 75-run stand with fellow veteran Angelo Mathews to accomplish the chase with three balls to spare and seven wickets in the bank. Delhi were beset by a brief top-order collapse losing three wickets in the first three overs but the two senior pros led a blistering batting charge to get off to a winning start.
“I’m enjoying my cricket at the moment. I’ve just come in from New Zealand, which was a successful series. Confidence is quite high and being a very experienced player. When confidence is high, you need to make the most of it. Hopefully, I can continue to do it,” Morgan said after claiming the man of the match prize.
