Former Australian leg-spinner Brad Hogg is impressed with the way Pakistan’s pace bowling lineup is going from strength to strength with their consistent performances in the tour games. The 48-year-old claimed hosts Australia will have a tough challenge up their sleeves as their batsmen might find it hard against Pakistan’s pace quartet.
“It’s going to be a really good challenge. Really love the way Shaheen Afridi goes about his business. You’ve got some depth there in Imran Khan and Mohammad Abbas and a young exciting talent in Naseem Shah,” Hogg said.
Hogg also talked about Pakistan’s batting and praised the veterans Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq while singling out Babar Azam as a major threat for the Aussies. While Pakistan have never been able to win a Test series in Australia, their strong showing in the tour games has sounded a warning to the home team.
