Pakistan’s current bowling coach Waqar Younis hails Pakistan’s seam bowling attack. Pakistan has got some young speed guns in their inventory including the likes of Musa Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Naseem Shah. In the tour match against Australia A, Shaheen and Naseem Shah impressed the critics with their speed and accuracy.
Talking about their performance, Waqar said, "There will be an intimidating factor, but they have to cope with it and I'm sure these guys will be able to do it. I'm really excited. Looking at our attack, we have a fair chance of getting Australia bowled out early.
Waqar also highlighted the fact that these young fast bowlers might get carried away with the bounce that will be available in the Test matches. "Sometimes you get carried away because of the bounce here," he said. "It makes you feel you’re the world-beater. It’s not the case. You have to really bowl in the right channel to get wickets, which I’ve learnt over the years. That’s my job, to help them out and try to tell them and get the best out of them to bowl in the right areas”, he added.
Pakistan’s whole fast bowling unit has 26 Test caps among them. While they might lack experience, they clearly have the skill-set to torment the oppositions which they have proved in the tour game against Australia A.
