Without a shadow of doubt, Bangladesh has improved their white-ball cricket to a great extent. This is evident from memorable victories recorded by Tigers in both ODIs and T20Is. However, same cannot be said about their Test team as it continuous to suffer both home and away.
This was recently admitted by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hasan. He highlighted that a lot of T20 players of Bangladesh were playing the longest format of the game, which needs a different skill-set. To fix this, Nazmul Hassan plans to make a proper Test team in 18 months comprising of specialists of the red-ball cricket.

“If you see India, only Rohit Sharma came from T20 team to play Tests. But, to play Test cricket, almost all our T20 players were in the team. We have to change our mindset and prepare a separate team. After a year and a half, we are positive to have a proper test team ready to compete against others,” said by 58-year old while sharing his plans about improving the red-ball cricket of the country.
