Pakistan have secured a berth in the semi-finals of the Emerging Teams Asia Cup following a thumping victory over Oman. Pakistan’s 147-run win was set up by stunning batting contributions from Haider Ali and Khushdil Shah, who helped the team register a mammoth total in their 50 overs.
Haider, fresh from his heroics in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, struck an emphatic ton before Khushdil displayed an explosive masterclass by smashing an unbeaten 54 off just 24 deliveries. The hard-hitting batsman, who recently made his T20I debut for Pakistan, hit five towering sixes and three fours during his scorching innings.
Khushdil then proceeded to utilize his bowling skills with perfection as he claimed three wickets for 27 runs to cap off a memorable all-round performance in the match. Pakistan now have their semi-final clash against arch-rivals India.
