Chris Lynn created history amidst the Abu Dhabi T10 clash between Maratha Arabians and Team Abu Dhabi as he blasted 91 runs off merely 30 deliveries. Lynn’s glorious knock has smashed to smithereens the previously held record for the highest score in T10 cricket.
Unable to hit the first century of the 10-over format, Lynn nevertheless set up a blistering batting display adorned by monstrous strikes that travelled the distance. He racked up nine boundaries and seven sixes during his exuberant stay at the crease, scoring in excess of a strike rate of 300.
Lynn’s breezy contribution surpassed Alex Hales’ record of 87 in the last edition of the league. The timing of Lynn’s destructive innings is all the more intriguing given the fact he was recently released by his IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the auction.
