The Indian Premier League based franchise- Royal Challengers Bangalore had a pretty off season earlier in this year where they managed to win only 5 out of 14 games. RCB has failed to qualify for the play-offs since 2016 where they met Sunrisers Hyderabad in an epic final.
RCB has not been able to win a single IPL title since the beginning of the tournament. Recently, Royal Challengers announced the list of their retained players. One of the two foreign retained players, Moeen Ali commented on Royal Challengers’ performances in the recent times.
"We need a good start. I think we always start slowly. We need to be brave, especially at home because the wicket in Bengaluru is very good. The boundaries are small over there and it's very daunting for the bowlers," Moeen told local news network.
"We cannot keep relying on Virat and AB de Villiers to win us games. Batters like myself and whomsoever is coming in, have to step up and bat well," he added. Moeen and AB de Villiers are the only two foreign players retained by RCB for the 2020 IPL stint.
