Throughout the history of cricket, fans have witnessed a plethora of events where cricketers were involved in brutal injuries and one such episode was on display in Australia’s domestic one-day tournament. It was a game between Western Australia and Southern Australia which had to see this tragic accident.
Bowling all-rounder Ashton Agar suffered a laceration to the bridge of his nose in the said game as he dropped a relatively simple catch of his brother Wes Agar at mid-on. Despite being considered as one of the safest fielders of the country, the 26-year old failed to complete the catch, hurting himself badly in the process. The reason of the injury was that Ashton slipped and had to feel the ball between his eyes.
Medical assistance immediately made its appearance to attend the Victoria born player as Ashton’s teammate Jhye Richardson called them. The brutal incident shook Wes Agar badly as seeing his brother in blood troubled him. However, things got normal soon as Ashton sits with better health condition now.
