Pakistan will be hosting Sri Lanka for a two-Test series in December, which will mark the first occasion of Test matches being held in the country since 2009. The decade-long drought of Test cricket in Pakistan will come to an end with the two games due to be conducted in Karachi and Rawalpindi.
The opening game of the series will be played in Rawalpindi that last hosted a Test match almost 15 years ago. With Karachi having already experienced the return of international cricket, fans in Rawalpindi will be delighted to welcome back competitive cricket in their city.
Reacting to the news of getting a chance to visit Pakistan again, senior Sri Lanka commentator Roshan Abeysinghe wondered loudly regarding what to expect from Rawalpindi. He praised the typical bustle of Karachi but admitted it would be a totally new experience for him in Rawalpindi.
