Days after being punished for ball-tampering by the International Cricket Council (ICC), West Indies batsman Nicholas Pooran has led Northern Warriors to victory over Delhi Bulls in the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10.
Having been set a steep target of 111 in 10 overs, Pooran slammed an unbeaten 56 off 25 deliveries to gun down the target inside nine overs. Pooran’s explosive batting saw him hit five sixes and four boundaries as he ransacked the Bulls bowling lineup comprising the likes of Mohammad Nabi and David Willey.
Pooran’s pristine striking is testimony to his famed power-hitting skills and he is doing justice to his voluminous talent. The 24-year-old was recently suspended for four T20I games for deliberately altering the condition of the ball but has been allowed to participate in the T10 league.
