Match Tied (Royal Challengers Bangalore win one-over eliminator)
After a stunning T20I series against India where Bangladesh recorded elite outings, the first Test match proved to be an altogether different story as the blue team punched them right, left and center to show their class. However, the hosts have every chance to make a strong comeback as both the teams are now gearing up for the next game scheduled to commence from November 22 in Kolkata.
It is important to note that this match would be the first day-night Test game for both the teams and this has excited Bangladesh spinner Mehidy Hasan to the core. The 22-year old admitted that his team went down in a bizarre fashion in the first red-ball contest, but that didn’t damage his morale as he is confident to see his unit coming hard in Eden Gardens.
The prospect of a day-night game and the use of a pink ball installed extra piece of energy in Mehidy. Furthermore, the Khulna born talked about spin as he thinks that the pink ball is offering some turn and bounce and he would look to exploit it. It would be interesting to see who comes out on top in the second Test match.
