The forthcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is few months away, but the tournament activities have already started as teams are sharing the list of their retained players. Kolkata Knight Riders, the two-time champions of the 20-over event, also did the same and decided to release the Australian belligerent batsman Chris Lynn.
Chris Lynn in action for KKR in IPL 2019
Scoring 405 runs in 13 games of the last edition, the Brisbane born averaged 31.15 to emerge as the second highest run-getter for KKR, only behind Andre Russell. Moreover, he expressed his prowess in the ongoing edition of the T10 League where he smashed an unbeaten innings encompassing 91 runs off 30 balls.
All this moved the former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh to share his disapproval of the situation. The 37-year old was surprised to see KKR letting go of their gun player despite recording a strong show in the last season of India’s darling T20 league. Yuvraj thinks that KKR has made a bad call as he urged the Bollywood star and franchise co-owner Shahrukh Khan to look into the matters and oversee the decision.
