England’s latest speed sensation Jofra Archer talked about his upcoming challenges in the Test series against New Zealand. After having a good outing in the Ashes 2019, the Caribbean-born now targets to pounce on the World Cup 2019 runners-up.
Archer, being reminiscent on his rivalry against Steve Smith, said, “I did not want to be bowling to Smith again any time soon. After what happened last summer”. Smith scored a bulk of runs during the Ashes 2019 when he smashed England bowlers all around the park. He was also ruled out of the 2nd Test (halfway through) and the 3rd Ashes Test due to a concussion he faced when he felled down to a 92.4 mph bouncer from Archer.
Archer feels like that Kane Williamson, New Zealand’s captain, will be as challenging to deal with as was Smith during the Ashes. “New Zealand has Kane Williamson who is not going to give you much either”, Archer added.
