Malik heartened by Pakistan blind cricketers' achievement

Senior Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik has not been in contention for selection in the national side since his last appearance in the World Cup. The 37-year-old, nevertheless, harbours an active presence on social media and always manages to be in the limelight.

The veteran cricketer has been recently engaged in efforts aimed at highlighting the often overlooked and underprivileged section of the sports fraternity in Pakistan. As part of his genuine attempts to bring change into people’s lives, Malik brought to his fans’ attention the spectacular feats of the Pakistan Blind Cricket Team that registered a 6-0 win over their England counterparts.

Malik sent out a congratulatory message to the visually impaired cricketers for their magnificent performances and asked his followers to be knowledgeable of their achievements. The Pakistan Blind Cricket Team is the current runners up as they failed to defeat India in the final of the 2018 showpiece event.
