Massive middle-order collapse dents Pakistan’s progress

Azhar Ali and Shan Masood started the 1st day of the GABBA Test steadily and they were very watchful against the scary bouncers of Mitchell Starc while defending good length deliveries from Josh Hazlewood. Pakistan scored 75-0 in the 1st session and the men in green were set to reach a huge total at the end of the day.

However, the 2nd session brought unbelievable results for Australia as Pakistan lost 5 wickets inside 3 overs. Shan Masood and Azhar Ali were removed by Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood.

Haris Sohail, Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed couldn’t impress either as they were caught napping in the crease.

From 75-0 to 94-5, the Aussie pace attack enjoyed great success on the opening day. Pakistan managed to score 240 at Stumps and the hosts are going to start their innings tomorrow.
