Australia’s former spinner, Shane Warne backed Yasir Shah to deliver well in the Test series against Australia. While commentating during the 1st Test match, Warne defended Yasir Shah against the immense workload. He felt that there was no real support for Yasir in the 1st innings.
“It is difficult for a spinner to come and deliver when the openers are set and have put a lot of runs on the board”, Shane said while commentating. Australian openers put up an opening partnership of 222 runs and left Pakistani bowlers helpless.
Yasir went on to take 4 wickets in the 1st innings against Australia. He also dismissed Steve Smith during his spell. Despite his 4 wickets, Australia put a mammoth total of 580 runs in the 1st innings.
