Australia could host Afghanistan in one-off Test at Gabba

The budding unit of Afghanistan might get to taste the Test match experience down under next summer as Cricket Australia is finalizing their schedule. India are meant to tour Australia for the 2020-21 season which includes a plethora of action via 4 Test matches.

However, the officials of Australia didn’t rule out the possibility of securing a short window to play a red-ball game against Afghanistan in Brisbane before the India Tests.

They didn’t confirm anything yet as the authorities are currently in the middle of the season, but they didn’t rule out this possibility either.

If it happens, then it would come across as a major boost to the rising cricketing nation of the world. In their three-game short history, the blue team has been impressive in the longest format of the game.

While they lost their inaugural game against India, Afghanistan came back strongly to win back-to-back contests against Ireland and Bangladesh, thus recording their prowess. Now, they are lined up to play West Indies in a one-off Test scheduled to take place from November 27 in Lucknow.
