Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Chief Operating Officer (COO) Subhan Ahmed has stepped down after serving in the capacity for nine years and working with the board in various administrative roles for 25 years. The decision was communicated to the PCB members during the 56th meeting of the Board of Governors held at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.
Ahmed had been a central figure in the administration in the past nine years as he effectively played the role of the PCB CEO, which has now been taken up by Wasim Khan. Ahmed parted ways with PCB in a cordial manner by wishing the board good luck in their future endeavors.
“After more than twenty-five years with the PCB, it is an appropriate time for me to move on. It has been a wonderful journey and an honor to represent the PCB at international forums as well as to contribute in the PCB’s transformation from a semi-professional to a thoroughly professional and one of the best-performing organizations of the country,” Subhan said.
