Vaughan suggests the introduction of Dukes ball in Australia

There has been an endless debate in the cricketing world regarding the use of Kookaburra ball versus the Dukes ball. The Dukes ball is largely used in home matches involving England while the rest of the world, in particular, Australia, uses the Kookaburra ball in Test cricket.

Offering an intriguing suggestion, former England skipper Michael Vaughan wants Australia to shift towards the use of the Dukes ball in a bid to make matches more exciting down under.

The Dukes ball has been proven to offer more to fast bowlers owing to its pronounced seam as compared to the Kookaburra ball, and it manages to retain its shine for a longer period of time.

Expressing his thoughts amidst the ongoing one-sided affair between Australia and Pakistan, Vaughan believed getting the Dukes ball in Australia will balance the contest between batsmen and bowlers on more flat tracks.
