Pakistan’s ace cricketer Babar Azam has once again emphasized on avoiding being compared to Indian skipper Virat Kohli following his tremendous batting display in Brisbane. Babar scored a splendid ton in the first Test but his stellar knock could not help his team stop an innings defeat.
Instantly following his batting heroics, Babar was likened to Kohli for his unwavering consistency in all formats. However, the 25-year-old batsman dismissed all talks of comparison and highlighted the wide gulf that exists in the number of matches he has played on the international stage as compared to Kohli.
“I don’t think about comparisons. I have always stated it is unfair to compare me with Kohli because he has far greater experience. When I play more matches and gain experience, then maybe you can make the comparison but there is no need to do so currently," Babar told reporters in the aftermath of his side’s loss.
