Young all-rounder Hassan Khan was the breakthrough performer for Quetta Gladiators in the 2018 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He was later traded to Lahore Qalandars for the subsequent PSL season though he did not have similar levels of success.
Currently engaged in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy with Sindh, the 21-year-old stressed on the need for giving extensive coverage to domestic cricket like the PSL. Hassan believed this would play a huge part in reviving interest in four-day cricket and eventually lead to youngsters prioritizing red-ball cricket.
“Usually PSL has all-international audience and that’s why the performance there is noticed. I think it is important that we give equal hype to first-class matches and praise red-ball performances to encourage youngsters,” Hassan told reporters.
