Zafar Gohar has been one of the most prolific spinners in this year’s edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. The Central Punjab player has been one of the main stars pivotal to the side’s tremendous success this season as they continue to dominate the points table since the start of the tournament.
Gohar was once again the chief protagonist for his team in the ongoing clash against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where he snaffled four wickets on the opening day to raise his tally to 36 scalps in the competition. Gohar, who is also a handy customer with the bat, is now the second-leading wicket-taker in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2019-20, just behind left-arm spinner Nauman Ali.
He ripped through the KPK lineup, whose decision to bat first completely backfired at Karachi’s NBP Stadium. He was the key instigator of the opposition’s collapse after fifties from Sahibzada Farhan and Israrullah threatened to take the game away from Central Punjab.
