Wasim Khan says no to playing home cricket in UAE

There’s no secret that Pakistan cricket suffered from playing their home cricket in the United Arab Emirates. While players weren’t able to enjoy their home support, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had to face financial losses with all the cricket adventures taking place in virtually empty grounds.

However, Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Wasim Khan doesn’t have any plans to continue it as he announced that the boys in green will now be playing all their home cricket in Pakistan. He particularly highlighted the passion for the game in the country and considers it harsh for both fans and cricketers to have a disjoint sitting between them.

The 48-year old also discussed the partial resumption of the International cricket in the country as he sits eager and confident to use Pakistan Super League (PSL) to further ameliorate the situation. Moreover, Wasim added that he invited South Africa, Afghanistan and Ireland to tour the country in 2020. It remains to be seen how things fare for the green team regarding bringing major teams like Australia, England and New Zealand in Pakistan.
