After bidding farewell to Pakistan cricket few weeks ago, former Zimbabwean cricketer Grant Flower’s credentials are attracting the neighboring country Sri Lanka. As per reports, the Islanders are keen to sign him as the new batting coach of the national team.
It is understood that currently the board officials are in contact with Grant Flower who has an experience of playing 67 Tests and 221 ODIs. During his tenure, Pakistan recorded a considerable improvement in their batting domain. Moreover, there is no official confirmation, but Mickey Arthur has also dropped a hint on joining the Sri Lankan team as their head coach.
If it happens, then the duo would be back in Pakistan, but this time, they would be sitting in the opposition camp. Furthermore, with T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to be played in Australia next year, not being far away, Sri Lanka is aiming to hire the services of Julian Wood for a week who would work on the power hitting of the blue team.
