Australia won comprehensively against Pakistan in the 1st Test match at the Gabba but their premier batsman Steve Smith only scored 4 runs in the match. Smith, who waited for eternity to bat during the 1st innings of the match, was bowled by Yasir Shah for just 4 runs.
The right-handed batsman was gutted with himself and punished him by jogging 3 kms from the Gabba to the team hotel. Quizzed by journalists about his jog from the Gabba to the hotel, Smith said "I always punish myself when I get no runs. Just like I reward myself when I score runs with a chocolate bar at the end of the night if I get a hundred," he continued.
"If I get no runs, I always like to have a run or go to the gym or do something just to give myself a bit of punishment," the World number 1 batsman said. Smith has been in prolific Test form in the ongoing year. He still remains a big threat to Pakistan in the upcoming Day and Night Test match at the Adelaide.
