Afghanistan vs West Indies 2019

Cornwall runs through Afghanistan lineup

West Indies spinner Rahkeem Cornwall stupefied the Afghanistan batsmen with his deft variations as he caused great destruction of the Rashid Khan-led side. Cornwall vindicated Jason Holder's decision to put the 'home' team to bat first as the bulky character snaffled seven wickets.

The 26-year-old, playing just his second game in Test cricket, registered astonishing figures of 7-75. This marks just the fourth instance of a Caribbean spinner taking seven or more wickets in the subcontinent. The collapse engineered by Cornwall's tight lines and lengths deeply dented Afghanistan's progress.

The youngster, who weighs a mighty 308 pounds, garnered a lot of admiration for his disciplined bowling. "I was just looking to put the ball in the right areas. Just try to stay as balanced as possible," he said following his bowling heroics.
